Czech Essential Report 2009

Just to let you know about some incredible catches achieved on Essential baits since their launch in Czech Republic in the middle of last year.

Elbe Mirror

Our field tester Jirka "indian" Tuma started to use Shellfish B5 on one of the stretches of Elbe river near Prague. On his second trip in November he caught 92cm – 18,5kg mirror. (Picture 1) This fish was in great condition and even though now days Elebe river is a very pressured water, this mirror was most probably never caught before. It is the biggest known mirror from this stretch of the biggest Czech river and Indian’s personal best for the moment. Truly one of this lifetime fish from the view of Czech wild state waters.

However this great fish was caught on the same bait yet again one week later one kilometer downstream by another fieldtester of ours, a fisherman named Ales. (Picture 2) This time it weighted almost 20kg and truly it showed how great big fish bait B5 is. This fish unbelievably evaded capture for many years but was then caught twice in one week.

New Years Catch for Vita

Vita Lamac is one of the most respected Czech carpers which fishes mainly river Elbe. He started to use Essential Baits and got some incredible results. Besides many fish up to 15 kg he caught 92cm – 19,2 kg common (Picture 3) – one of the biggest fish in that stretch of the Elbe. But he really made a statement about the quality of Essential Baits during his short session on December 31st 2009. He just came to fish for 3 hours during the day just to close the season and say good bye to Elbe before the winter. There were already 2 other carpers fishing nearby, they were there already for 2 nights with no fish on the bank. During the 3 hours session Vita to his own amazement caught 2 commons of 14,1kg and 16,1 kg (Picture 4) – big fish to Elbe River standards. Water was only 3 degrees of Celsius and as far as we know such big fish were never ever caught in true winter conditions on Elbe before. Most Czech river anglers would actually say it is impossible until last December 31st. Both fish came on Essential Cream CSM boilies which totally out fished Vita’s other bait which he normally uses in winter. "I have never witnessed that one specific bait would work so much better in winter and out fish my other baits so clearly" commented Vita.

I could put in much more great pictures of wild Czech carp cought on Essential baits but these above stories just stand out of the crowd to me for the moment.
