Lee banks new pb common!

Posted in Catch Reports on 14th August 2011

Essential boilie production manager Lee Willmott is the person responsible for single handedly rolling at least 12-tons of boilies since the start of the year and with 2011 being our busiest year ever, few people could begrudge Lee getting out on the bank from time to time, albeit for a total of just 6 nights during the past 5-months!

However, Lee always seems to have the knack of making up for lost time, and on a recent day session his patience was rewarded yet again with the capture of a new pb UK common at 39lb 2oz on only his second trip to the tricky venue.

After baiting up with 3kg of B5 on dusk the previous evening, Lee decided to sleep in the van and start fishing at the crack of dawn the following morning. By 6am each of his rods were positioned over his baited spots but he hardly had time to make his first brew of the day when one of them rattled off! The end result being this stunning long common at a weight of 39lb 2oz beating his previous best UK common by just over 3lbs.

Well done Lee - now get back to work. Lol......

Making your own

The amount of anglers making their own boilies these days are becoming less and less. This is understandable considering time limitations, but for those wishing to venture out into making their own boilies, these Handy Packs definitely are the way forward because everything you need (apart from eggs!) is inside the bucket.

Making your own bait allows you to use your own 'bespoke' combination of attractors to suit your individual needs. You can also make different shapes and sizes, as well as having the option over soft, medium or hard baits, depending on boiling times, or if you wish to include additional hardeners. Further to this, many anglers find it extremely rewarding to catch fish on a bait they have made themselves.
