Improvements all around

Posted in Mike’s Diary on 23rd February 2015

Over the past few months we have been very busy trying to improve every single aspect of what we do at here Essential Baits HQ. One of the biggest challenges was upgrading and investing in a new boilie production plant, which is now almost complete (Feb 2015). The end result is absolutely fantastic. To be honest this was not only a huge expense, but a massive amount of work went into the project to get every single detail absolutely spot on. We spent months test mixing baits and 'tweaking' the machinery to suit. It really wasn't an easy job, but all the hard work has paid off and the baits are now even better than ever before in terms of their physical appearance and roundness. The daily vernier tests confirm this and gives us ultimate quality control.

As a result of this we are hoping that we can keep up with the demand better in 2015 without having such long lead times, and even when we are making baits to order, we are hoping for a fairly quick turnaround. We can also provide better discounts for large bulk orders and this will be reflected withing the pages of this website. Further to all this, we can now also release the new shelf life range and we are pleased to see the Black Snail and the new Salami Cream join up with the formidable B5 in this range. As if all that wasn't enough, we are now in a position to produce 12mm boilies all year, not just during the quiet times. This goes for the full range of our boilies as well, including the new shelf life's.

On top of all that, we have also improved our courier service. Customers ordering goods sent via our courier will now receive a text the minute the goods leave Essential to tell you they will be delivered the following day. You will then receive a text the following morning to tell you exactly what time the goods will be delivered that day! No more waiting in all day not knowing what time it will arrive!

Phew!!!!!

Making your own

The amount of anglers making their own boilies these days are becoming less and less. This is understandable considering time limitations, but for those wishing to venture out into making their own boilies, these Handy Packs definitely are the way forward because everything you need (apart from eggs!) is inside the bucket.

Making your own bait allows you to use your own 'bespoke' combination of attractors to suit your individual needs. You can also make different shapes and sizes, as well as having the option over soft, medium or hard baits, depending on boiling times, or if you wish to include additional hardeners. Further to this, many anglers find it extremely rewarding to catch fish on a bait they have made themselves.
